NPP condemns NDC’s attempts to drag Manhyia Palace into partisan politics

The NPP has dismissed NDC claims that it seeks to politicize the Manhyia Palace by selecting Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, a royal, as its running mate.

NDC Deputy General Secretary Mustapha Gbande suggested this move aims to exploit the revered traditional institution.

In response, NPP Deputy General Secretary Haruna Mohammed refuted the allegations, emphasizing that the Asantehene has not engaged in political activities.

Mohammed called the NDC's accusations baseless, highlighting that being a royal does not disqualify one from participating in politics.
