NPP in its present state not attractive to me – Prof Frimpong-Boateng

Former Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining Chairman, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, has reaffirmed his affiliation with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but expressed disillusionment with its current state, finding it unattractive.

In a JoyNews interview, he highlighted his dissatisfaction following his controversial 'galamsey' report on illegal mining, which he felt led to unfair treatment and criticism within the party.

Despite these issues, he commended former President John Kufuor for transitioning Ghana towards democracy and the rule of law, noting the significance of this achievement in the nation's political history.
