Dr. Prince Hamid Armah, the Education Manifesto Chair for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), announced plans to make school enrolment mandatory for children aged four.
He proposed using data from the National Identification Authority and the Birth and Death Registry to track and ensure timely enrolment.
The NPP aims to enhance early childhood education by constructing modern kindergarten blocks in underserved areas.
Dr. Armah stressed that while current laws don't penalize non-enrolment, the party is working to address this and improve kindergarten facilities across Ghana.
