The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has refuted claims that it disqualified any presidential aspirants for personal reasons.
Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Commissioner for Corporate Affairs, emphasized that all disqualifications were based strictly on legal and constitutional requirements.
He stated that the process was transparent and aspirants were given chances to rectify nomination issues.
Out of 24 aspirants, 13 were approved, while 11 were disqualified.
Two of the disqualified candidates have since filed lawsuits against the EC, disputing the decision.
