Omane Boamah rejects EC’s claims of correcting voter register discrepancies

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, NDC’s Director of Elections and IT, has rejected claims by the Electoral Commission (EC) that discrepancies in the 2024 Provisional Voters Register have been resolved.

Speaking at an IPAC meeting, he warned that the EC's inaction could allow ongoing manipulation of voter data, threatening electoral integrity.

He emphasized the urgency for a comprehensive audit of both the voter register and the EC’s IT systems to ensure transparency and accuracy.

The EC, however, maintained that an audit is premature and reiterated its robust procedures to address discrepancies before the December elections.
