President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed hope that the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will not become a "one-term president," a jab at former President John Mahama, who has declined to debate Bawumia.
Akufo-Addo criticized Mahama's refusal, deeming it "groundless" and pointing out Mahama's status as a "one-term president" among Ghana's leaders.
He emphasized his desire for Bawumia to succeed him and secure a second term, joining past leaders who served multiple terms.
Akufo-Addo urged that Bawumia should not aspire to be in the same "class" as Mahama.
