President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church to reconsider its decision to abstain from participating in the upcoming general elections on December 7th, 2024, due to religious observance.
Speaking at Valley View University after receiving a Doctorate Degree, Akufo-Addo acknowledged the importance of the Sabbath for the Adventist community but emphasized the significance of civic duties.
Citing biblical teachings, he encouraged the Church to find practical solutions allowing members to vote without compromising their beliefs.
The President reiterated his commitment to ensuring free and fair elections, reinforcing Ghana's democratic values.
