Pay us our end-of-service benefits or we won’t join campaign – Former MMDCEs

Former Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) have demanded their end-of-service benefits from the government, three years after leaving office.

The 134 affected individuals, who were removed in a 2021 reshuffle, are owed benefits including a three-month consolidated salary and an installation grant.

Each is owed over GH₵100,000, but despite numerous petitions, the government is yet to pay.

The delay may impact the party's campaign, as former MMDCEs lack the financial resources to support it.

They urged the government to settle their arrears, enabling them to contribute to the campaign without financial burdens.
