Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on religious leaders to intensify prayers for Ghana to overcome its economic crisis and ensure peace during the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the ordination of Catholic Bishop Most Rev. Fransisca Bomansaan in Wa, Mahama emphasized Ghana's status as a peaceful nation and urged continued intercessory prayers.
He committed to maintaining peace during the 2024 elections and encouraged the current president and NPP leadership to do the same.
Upper West Regional Minister Stephen Yakubu also stressed the importance of tolerance and rejected violence ahead of the elections.
