Protracted ‘Dumsor’ was our biggest misfortune in 2016 elections – Bawah Mogtari

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, spokesperson for the John Mahama Campaign Team, has stated that the prolonged power outages, known as ‘Dumsor’, during Mahama’s tenure significantly impacted their 2016 election results.

She explained on Channel One TV’s The Point of View that the energy crisis was a major setback, causing public dissatisfaction. Despite Mahama’s efforts to resolve the issue, the challenges were difficult to overcome quickly.

Mogtari emphasized that Mahama did not exploit the crisis for political gain and lamented the lack of public empathy towards the administration's efforts to address the power outages.
