Residents of Mankranso bemoan abandoned astroturf project

An AstroTurf project in Mankranso, Ahafo Ano, is stalled amid accusations between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The NPP accuses the NDC of sabotage, while the NDC blames the government for lacking commitment.

The project, crucial for local events and sports, halted after the NPP parliamentary primaries.

The assembly member noted that promises to upgrade the park were unfulfilled.

Frustrated, the NDC planted plantain suckers on the site, mocking the government's Planting for Food and Jobs program, which were later removed by NPP members.
