Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur lost in the just ended primaries of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, Senior brother of Second Lady, Samira Bawumia.

Nana Oye lost to Adamu Ramadan in the Adentan constituency of the Greater Accra Region.

Speaking to Adakabre Frimpong Manso in an interview on Neat FM, Mr Ramadan who didn't expect Nana Oye Lithur to be his close contender attributed his victory to 'love and loyalty'.

According to him, "when we lost in 2016, I didn’t abandon the constituents; the people looked at that and they went to vote . . . I, however, thank Oye Lithur for a healthy competition."

He has meanwhile, assured constituents that he is going to be a unifier and not only focus on 'Fulanis'.

"I believe in harmonization and unity," he indicated.
