Show love to vulnerable neglected by Akufo-Addo government - NDC charges members

The opposition National Democratic Congress has extended its warm wishes to Ghanaians as the people join others worldwide to celebrate the new year 2019.

The NDC believes despite the suggestions of hardship and continuous underperformance hinted by some economic experts, Ghanaians should face the new year with renewed hope, selflessness and enthusiasm.

The statement also tasked its members to go all out and exemplify the ideals of the party particularly to those who have been at the wrong end of Akufo-Addo government's governance.

This they insisted will contribute to the party winning the 2020 elections which they are ever prepared for.

"In line with our philosophy of solidarity and social justice, let’s use this Season to show care and love to the vulnerable and underprivileged in society, whose plights have been worsened by the performance of this incapable Akuffo Addo government." It added.

EMBRACE 2019 WITH A SENSE OF PATRIOTISM - NDC URGES GHANAIANS

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) wishes to extend its warmest new year season greetings to all Comrades and Citizens of Ghana.

We welcome 2019 with hope and optimism, cognisance of the untold hardship and misery, the shambolic performance of the Akuffo Addo – Bawumia government brought Ghanaians in 2018. Last year brought in its wake peculiar socio-economic and political challenges, emanating from the incapable leadership, corruption and maladministration of the NPP government.

While experts have predicted very hard times in 2019, we wish to extend a message of hope to Fellow Citizens; that the NDC is ready and prepared with unity and a common sense of purpose to rescue the nation from the clueless hands of President Akuffo Addo come 2020 General Elections, so as to put the nation back on the path of growth and prosperity. As you may be aware, the NDC have hitherto demonstrated that we have a formidable team of efficient hands, waiting to form a government that is not only sensitive to socio-economic plights of its citizens but also frowns heavily on nepotism and corruption.

The new year brings in its wake, a renewed sense of responsibility and patriotism to hold the NPP accountable for their stewardship to the people of this country.

We wish to assure the rank and file of our party, that we shall leave no one behind in this rescue mission; we are resolute and resolved to leave no stone unturned in the delivery of this mission to rescue our beloved nation from the socio-economic misery the NPP government has visited on the innocent Ghanaian. We extend a warm hand of invitation to all progressives far and wide, to join hands with us in this mission. We have no excuse to fail the people of this country.
