Spare the judiciary of your divisive politics- GBA tells politicians

Yaw Acheampong Boafo, President of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA), has urged an end to the politicization of Ghana's judiciary.

Speaking at the remembrance service for the Martyrs of the Rule of Law in Accra on June 30, Boafo lamented the trend of framing judicial matters politically. He emphasized the judiciary's independence, noting no political affiliations are considered in judicial appointments.

Boafo reiterated that Ghana's judiciary, as established in the 1992 Constitution, operates without partisan bias.

He urged an end to assigning political labels to judges, warning it could lead to further martyrdoms.
