The Minority in Parliament has refuted the Majority's claims that Speaker Alban Bagbin's adjournment of the House was abrupt.

1st Deputy Minority Whip, Ahmed Ibrahim, emphasized that the Speaker acted within his constitutional rights.

Ibrahim noted that House leadership was aware of the planned adjournment, which was initially set for 4 PM but extended to 7 PM to complete pending business.

This response came after Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin requested an extraordinary sitting of Parliament, citing legal grounds for convening within seven days.

Ibrahim is awaiting confirmation of the Speaker receiving this request.
