The Supreme Court of Ghana has issued a stay of execution on Speaker Alban Bagbin's ruling that declared the seats of four MPs—Cynthia Morrison, Kwadjo Asante, Andrew Amoako Asiamah, and Peter Kwakye Ackah—vacant.
This decision halts the implementation of the Speaker's ruling, which stemmed from a motion by former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu regarding MPs who change political affiliations.
The stay allows the current composition of Parliament to remain intact while the court reviews the case, delaying potential political shifts and further legal disputes.
