The 8 is with me, let NPP break it if they can – Mahama on position on ballot paper

Former President John Mahama has expressed confidence in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) securing the 8th position on the 2024 presidential ballot paper, viewing it as a symbolic opportunity to challenge the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

During a campaign event in the Ablekuma North Constituency, he challenged the NPP's "break the 8" slogan, stating, "the eight is with me."

Mahama criticized the NPP for failing to fulfill promises made in 2016, particularly regarding fuel prices, and emphasized the NDC's readiness to address economic and governance issues after eight years of NPP rule.
