Attorney General Godfred Dame has clarified that no new arbitration awards have been issued against Ghana during his tenure.
Speaking on Citi FM, he addressed concerns over a recent U.S. court order enforcing a $111 million judgment debt owed to Trafigura, stemming from a 2021 ruling.
Former Power Minister Dr. Kwabena Donkor criticized the government for failing to resolve this debt, arguing that the termination of the power agreement with Trafigura was unjustified.
Dame countered, emphasizing that the issue predates his tenure and that Ghana has made progress in international arbitration.
