Vote transfer exercise: Heavy security presence in Mankranso

A heavy security presence ensured a smooth end to the vote transfer exercise in Mankranso, Ahafo Ano South West Constituency, amid tensions between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

NPP candidate Elvis Dapaah accused the NDC of deploying thugs to disrupt the process, while NDC secretary Dumong Solomon Labinin refuted the claims, alleging the NPP was busing people in from other areas.

The Electoral Commission, facing opposition from the NDC, allowed political party agents to observe the process. Some voters have called for an extension of the exercise.
