Disturbances erupted in the Sagnarigu constituency of Northern Region on Sunday due to gunfire at a voter registration center.
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) blame each other for the incident.
The violence began when a vehicle brought new registrants, leading to an argument and subsequent shooting by unidentified gunmen.
NDC Northern Regional Organizer Abdallah A. Baba accused the NPP of planning the attack, while NPP Chairman Alhaji Musah Fuseini Dangoomah denied this, claiming the gunmen were from the NDC.
Both parties demand thorough investigations to identify and apprehend the culprits.
