We didn’t support Bawumia as Akufo-Addo’s Vice President – Ohene Ntow

Nana Ohene Ntow, Senior Campaign Advisor to Alan Kyerematen, has revealed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) initially opposed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's selection as Akufo-Addo’s running mate.

In an interview on Channel One TV, Ohene Ntow disclosed that party leaders, including himself, questioned the choice of an outsider.

However, Akufo-Addo convinced them by highlighting Bawumia’s economic expertise.

Despite high expectations, the public has grown disappointed with Bawumia's performance as head of the Economic Management Team. Ohene Ntow recounted intense debates within the party before Bawumia's selection, emphasizing the high hopes placed on his economic acumen.
