The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has clarified that their nationwide strike is not politically motivated, despite suggestions it may be related to the December elections.

According to Public Relations Officer Edmund Acquaye, the strike was a response to the government's failure to implement a new salary structure approved by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.

CLOGSAG has been patient, but it's time to take action. The Head of the Local Government Service, Dr. Nana Ato Arthur, has appealed to CLOGSAG members to remain calm and return to the negotiating table.
