Democracy Hub remains committed to fighting illegal mining (galamsey), despite arrests during its recent protests.
The group, led by Naa Densua, highlights the environmental destruction caused by galamsey, including deforestation and water contamination.
After arrests on the second day of their three-day protest, streets were empty on the final day.
Naa Densua vowed to continue the demonstrations, stating future generations deserve clean water.
One of the protest leaders, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, was arrested after a police manhunt but insists he’s cooperating with authorities.
