We’ll thoroughly scrutinise Free SHS bill – Minority

The Minority Caucus in Parliament has planned to push for a dedicated funding source for the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy in the upcoming proposed legislation.

The government's bill aims to sustain the policy, but the Minority wants to ensure its longevity and effectiveness.

They would scrutinize the bill to prevent the government from using it as a political tool against the NDC.

The Ranking Member on the Education Committee, Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, emphasized that the Minority will demand a dedicated funding source and thoroughly examine the bill to prevent any attempts to tie the hands of future governments.
