Former President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to reform Ghana's national scholarship programs by excluding government appointees and politically exposed individuals from benefiting under his administration.

Speaking at the NDC manifesto launch, he criticized the current NPP-led government for mismanaging these scholarships, which are intended for the underprivileged.

Mahama emphasized that the reforms would ensure that scholarships are distributed fairly and transparently, allowing marginalized individuals better access to quality education.

He insisted that only those who truly cannot afford education should benefit, while political appointees should pay for their own.
