The Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Fridaus Mubarak Yussif, said the Big Cap Micro Credit does these things as part of its corporate social responsibility and that resonates with the mantra of the Big Cap Micro Credit, which is; “…grow with us.” “We would want to grow with all and sundry but that must be on the premise of good health and well-being in consonance the SDG Goal 3," he said.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Fridaus Mubarak Yussif said, donations have been made to help the less privileged mothers who could not afford their medical bills and also supported them with some baby food and cash for their up keeps in the past simply because giving back to the society makes me over joyous as H. Jackson Brown Jr. puts it, “remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.”
He, therefore, called on all stakeholders, corporate organizations to support the government of Ghana, Ministry of Health, Ghana Health Service and all health in Ghana to come together so we can collectively fight our uninvited visitor, CoVID-19.
He said his donation was premise on the fact, that he fell sick on one of his business trips and visited a health facility in the Municipality. It was an eye-sore, so he engaged a nurse and from there he decided to help as part of his corporate social responsibility.
The Acting Medical Superintendent of Swedru Hospital, Dr. expressed gratitude of the kind gesture by the CEO, Mr. Fridaus Mubarak Yussif and his team. He also promised that the items will be equitably distributed for the fight against COVID-19.
The MP of the area, Hon. Mrs. Cynthia Mamle Morrison greatly appreciated the efforts and good will of Big Cap Micro Credit in this moment when all donations have stopped coming because we think we are out of the pandemic.
She stated that, since Big Cap Micro Credit have opened the window of donations again, benevolent people will start coming to the aid of the Agona West Municipal Health Directorate.
