Event, PR expert Gideon Kodo adjudged National Brands Communication Personality of the Year

Head of Events and Public Relation at Promasidor Ghana Limited, Gideon Kodo has been adjudged National Brands Communication Personality of the Year at the maiden edition of National Business Honours.

At the awards ceremony held on September 3, 2021, at Labadi Hotel in Accra, Mr. Kodo expressed appreciation to the organizers - Global Ovation - for recognizing his works.

“I am grateful to the organizers of the awards for the honor bestowed on me. I dedicate the awards to my team and individuals who have supported me immensely in my career.”

Gideon is a PR & Marketing professional with vast experience in the media, event, and communication industries. He is currently the Head of Event and PR for Promasidor Ghana Limited (producers of Cowbell, Onga, Yumvita, Miksi & others). He is also a brands communication consultant for a number of start-ups.

Gideon is also the co-founder of BISA TSW a destination management business that is currently running.

He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketers Ghana and a product of professional training like BBC Breakfast Show Boot Camp, Global PR, and crisis training in Accra, PR Training in South Africa.

Apart from that, Gideon is a professional Event Moderator/MC with years of experience in hosting events like the African Economic Ideas festival, Agri-youth Fair at the Accra International Conference Center, Numerous Workshops under the University of Ghana, BOST Media Awards Dinner, and countless social events.

He was a broadcaster with Global Media Alliance with his role being a presenter and a producer on Yfm. He was also the Host of RedFm (Internal radio station for Vodafone Ghana).

He started his broadcasting career as a journalist on Radio Univers- a University of Ghana Radio Station before rising to become the head of Talk Shows and also the host of the Morning Show at the station.

He was the moderator for the monthly Tedx Accra Talk and Y-Dialogues a monthly youth dialogue series.
