Joyful Way Incorporated launches 50th anniversary celebration

Joyful Way Incorporated; pioneers of contemporary gospel music have launched its 50th anniversary on 26th January 2022 during a short ceremony held at Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra.

The yearlong anniversary which is on the theme “Our Story, Impact & Legacy”
is to reiterate the group’s commitment to winning more souls for Christ.

For over 5 decades many have had their lives transformed through songs ministration with many Christian groups and churches being revived during its outreach and evangelism programs.

Ghana’s legendary gospel music group has ministered to many audiences all over Ghana and abroad, pioneering good and quality gospel music.

Speaking at the media launch, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Joyful Way Incorporated, Mr. Samuel Ewool indicated the group is grateful to God for bringing them this far and the impact He has made through mere human vessels like them.

According to him, the adventure on this Joyful Way has been exciting and fulfilling, laced with humbling stories and experiences worthy of sharing and also drawing lessons from our impact and legacy after 50 years of their existence.

“Guided by a single-minded mission to proclaim the gospel of salvation through the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Group used and continues to use contemporary music as its major tool of evangelism,” he said.

“From our humble beginnings in Cape Coast, today, JOYFUL WAY has an active membership of over 200 young men and women full of zeal and passion for Christ and over 500 Associates (who are former members of the Group) in Ghana and all over the world. Our members and associates consist of professionals, students in universities all over the world, and students of Senior High Schools (predominantly in Cape Coast)” he added.

Mr. Samuel Ewool mentioned there will be an array of activities and programs throughout the year to mark their 50th Anniversary.

According to him, there will be internal and external conferences and discussions on issues that border on gospel music ministry both in person and on radio and TV. There will be school concerts and crusades. There will be the launch of our history book, songbook, and video documentaries. There will also be the launch of our 50th Anniversary Music Album. We shall also commission our legacy Projects.

The 50th Anniversary celebration will be climaxed with a Thanksgiving and Fundraising Dinner, a Thanksgiving Service and end with their flagship Explosion of Joy Concert on the 26th of December 2022.

Mr. Ewool, however, urged the media, churches, corporate organizations, partners, and everyone to join them to make a joyful noise to the Lord and tell THEIR STORY, IMPACT, AND LEGACY.
