Nyaho Medical Centre has opened a new branch in Tema community 1, moving trusted healthcare closer to people living in and around the Tema Municipality. The new branch brings the number of Nyaho branches to four (4) within the Greater Accra Region.

The brief ceremony was held in Tema to officially open the first phase of the project which is a 12hr OPD service as well as cut sod for the second phase, a 24/7 urgent care centre.

The new branch is expected to deliver easy access to the quality healthcare that has defined and distinguished the Nyaho brand over the past 52 years and will provide Out-Patient Department (OPD) services, Family Medicine, Laboratory Services, Specialist Clinics and Pharmacy.

Commenting on what occasioned the opening of the new branch, the Managing Director of Nyaho Medical Centre, Dr Elikem Tamaklo said, “We continue to expand our operations through our hub and spoke model to ensure that more people can access quick and reliable health care when they need it most. The new Nyaho branch in Tema is an extension of the Nyaho way where Patient & Family Centred Care is the pivot around which all decisions turn".

He also added that Nyaho is on course for the opening of new branches in other regions of Ghana. "Changing the world starts with changing ourselves to impact our immediate social context. So, this ceremony is another milestone on our journey to transform the lives of patients, surpass expectations in healthcare and inspire hope for a better Africa", he added.

The ceremony was attended by the Member of Parliament for Tema East, Hon. Isaac Ashai Odamtten, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Yohanes Amarh Ashitey, members of the Board, Management and Staff of Nyaho Medical Centre, invited corporate and insurance partners as well as members of the community and the media.
