Roofings and Steel Ghana Ltd rehabilitates schools in Yendi

Roofing’s & Steel Ghana Limited, a local manufacturer of high-quality steel products has reached out to support the people and community of Yendi by donating roofing materials to rehabilitate 20 schools affected by a rainstorm disaster displacing over 700 students within the community.

The initiative which was in collaboration with the Honorable MP of Yendi, Hon Farouk Aliu Mahama, Chiefs, and the people will enable primary school children whose studies were affected by the rain disaster to return to school to resume their various study syllabus.

Speaking to the media the MP on behalf of the Chiefs & people of Yendi expressed gratitude for the Kind gesture and immense support by Roofing’s and Steel Ghana Ltd saying: On behalf of myself, the pupils of the affected schools and the entire people of Yendi, I wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for your kindness and generosity shown us by way of donation of roofings sheets to aid in re-roofing schools ripped off by rainstorm in the Yendi Constituency.

We are extremely grateful fr your invaluable contribution and we assure you the sheets will be put to their intended purposes for the benefit of the schools and pupils. Once again you have demonstrated excellence in social corporate responsibility and it is my sincere hope that this relationship and collaboration between Roofings and Steel and my office will continue to grow from strength to strength for the benefit of our people.

In his remarks, Managing Director for Roofing’s & Steel Ghana Ltd, Raj Rohit expressed his gratitude to the Chiefs and people of Yendi, Hon Farouk Aliu Mahama for a seamless collaborative effort and for providing an opportunity for Roofing’s and Steel to be part of such an initiative.

He said ‘We will continue to support the efforts of our leaders to develop our communities because as part of our mission we have the responsibility to develop the communities we operate in. We believe in the pupils as our future leaders and we also believe they deserve the best of conditions to study hence our relentless support for this initiative.

We will continue to provide the needed support with the help of the leaders. We are confident that this support will go a long way to relieve the teachers and pupils of the rainstorm disaster.

He concluded by saying that Roofing’s and Steel Ghana Ltd has supported many areas of service by providing a bus shelter in Achimota to support Ghana Highways Authority, donation of work safety gears to the Artisans Association of Ghana & 100 crash barriers to the Ghana Police Service. Indeed, this has been another call to support and we are confident that this will be the first of many more support to come from RSG.
