2019-12-19Adelaide Nana Adwoa Tutuwaa wins top 'Woman in Philanthropy Award'
Founder of Nhyiramma Foundation, Adelaide Nana Adwoa Tutuwaa
Founder and Chief Executive of Nhyiramma Foundation, Adelaide Nana Adwoa Tutuwaa, has been conferred with the 'Woman in Philanthropy award’ for her benevolent works across the country.
The efforts and good works of the leadership of the foundation in executing charity works across the country was recognized by the National Philanthropy Forum, Ghana earlier this month.

The National Philanthropy Excellence Awards in a citation presented to madam Tutuwaa said the award is to appreciation devoted service to the less privileged and passion towards changing the lives of women and children especially across the county.
"The award is made to appreciation of your devoted service to the less privileged and your passion towards positively changing the lives of women and children especially”, part of the citation stated.
A delegation from the National Philanthropy Excellence Awards, led by its president presented the award to the philanthropist amid cheers and excitement from the audience.
Nana Adwoa Tutuwa, receiving the beautiful award plaque stressed that she was humbled and honored by the gesture and will continue to do more for the less-privileged in society.
She also recounted that this is the second award she has been honored with in the month of November on behalf of the Foundation.
The CEO in November this year received the 'Shero of the Year Award' at the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA 2019).
She further noted that although the Foundation doesn’t work with the aim of winning awards, recognition and prestigious awards encourages the leadership of the foundation to do more for society.
Madam Tutuwaa expressed great pleasure, saying she was grateful to be honored among many other philanthropists whose quota helping push Ghana forward.
Nhyiramma Foundation was founded in 2015 as an indigenous child-care non-profit organization head-quartered in Accra, Ghana.
The foundation’s mission is to assist children born to needy mothers to access quality education, shelter, healthcare and nutrition.
The Charity Foundation also acts as foster parents and put smiles on the faces of orphans and less-privileged children through its efforts; inspiring hope in the future generation.
The leadership of Nhyiramma foundation believe that everyone should have their voices heard in society but that has not always been the case for the poorest-of-the poor in Ghana.
The National Philanthropy excellence awards was initiated the National Philanthropy forum in 2017 to recognize the contributions of NGOs and humanitarian bodies in Ghana towards national development.
These kindly deeds of Adelaide Nana Adwoa Tutuwaa earned her the nomination for the award, consequently winning her the title of the Woman in Philanthropy Award’.
