The groups are contesting the legitimacy of the leases and agreements in law courts.

They have called on Parliament to address the issues and are hopeful that the Speaker of Parliament will find an amicable solution.

The Ada traditional council has been criticized for its silence on the matter.

The disputes have resulted in attacks, injuries, and even murder.

The briefing also addressed the listing of ElectroChem on the Ghana Stock Exchange, an out-grower scheme, and a confrontation between residents and ElectroChem workers.
