Aflao traders demand immediate interdiction of Customs Sector Commander

Traders in Aflao and Accra have protested, demanding the removal of GRA Customs Commander Joseph Allan, accusing him of fostering corruption and a hostile trading environment at the Aflao border.

They allege that Allan’s team imposes delays, pressures traders for extra fees, and unfairly favors certain importers, impacting local businesses.

The traders defied police orders to hold the protest, expressing frustration over Allan's policies, such as the ban on cooking oil.

They urge the GRA to investigate Allan’s practices, calling for his suspension to restore trust and fairness in customs operations.
