Ashanti Region: Nahinso Chief arrested for unauthorized road works

Officials from the Asokwa Municipal Assembly have arrested Nana Addo Boaman, the Chief of Nahinso, for undertaking unauthorized road works.

Boaman initiated the repairs after authorities ignored persistent appeals from residents and motorists about the poor road conditions causing flooding.

The community has long suffered from abandoned road construction and pits from sand-winning activities.

Despite the lack of official permission and his subsequent arrest, Boaman, who was later granted bail, vowed to continue his efforts to make the road motorable and address the flooding issues.
