The Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council has reported significant progress in the government’s District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), with nearly 80 kilometres of roads improved across five district assemblies.
Launched in July, the initiative aims to provide Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) with resources to rehabilitate and maintain local roads. During a site visit,
Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey, Regional Coordinator of the DRIP, highlighted the transformation of previously impassable roads in areas like Awoshie, Sowutuom, Amasaman, Old Barrier, and Weija.
He noted that in just three to four months, nearly 80 kilometres of road have been rehabilitated, showcasing the programme's impressive progress.
