Dagbon Overlord bans carrying of weapons in his kingdom

The Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari II, has banned the use of assault rifles and weapons in his kingdom to protect its image.

He expressed concern over the misuse and abuse of these weapons, particularly during traditional and cultural events.

The Yaa Naa condemned the lawlessness and directed all chiefs and youth in Dagbon to stop displaying and using assault rifles during funerals and other events.

The Northern Regional Minister assured the Yaa Naa of support in enforcing the directive to maintain peace and stability in Dagbon.
