Diver dies while repairing malfunctioning pontoon engine on Oti river [Photos]

A 42-year-old diver and Krachi East Municipality staff member drowned in the Oti River while attempting to repair a pontoon engine at Dambai.

Eyewitness Francis Gago Sena reported that the diver was troubleshooting the engine when the incident occurred.

Despite the Ghana Navy rescue team's quick response, they couldn't revive him.

The diver, a beloved husband and father, has left Dambai in mourning.

His body is at the Worawora Government morgue awaiting autopsy.
