Expedite assent of anti-LGBTQ bill to evade God’s wrath – Osu Traditional Council to Akufo-Addo

The Osu Traditional Council has urged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo to swiftly approve the anti-LGBTQ bill, warning of divine retribution if the bill is delayed.

This call follows plans by the bill's proponents to protest against the Chief Justice on August 21, 2024, for allegedly stalling its transmission to the President.

Nuumo Gbelenfo III, Acting President of the Osu Traditional Council, emphasized the importance of passing the bill, stating that same-sex marriage contradicts cultural and religious norms and could invoke God's wrath on Ghana.
