Fire breaks out in KNUST Prempeh II Library

A fire broke out on the third floor of KNUST's Prempeh II Library due to an electrical socket malfunction, but firefighters quickly extinguished it, and everyone was safely evacuated.

The KNUST SRC President-Elect, Kane Nana Francis, advised students on fire safety and avoiding electrical overloads.

No casualties were reported.

This incident follows a recent fire at "Father Hostel" that destroyed nine rooms and affected 22 students and three teaching assistants.

The outgoing SRC administration provided relief and temporary housing for the victims.

Calm has been restored, and students have resumed their studies for upcoming exams.
