Heavy traffic as moving car catches fire on Afrikiko stretch

A major traffic jam occurred on Liberation Road near Flagstaff House after a car caught fire opposite Afrikiko.

The blaze, possibly caused by overheating, extensively damaged the car before the fire service arrived.

The driver was not present at the scene.

The incident led to the closure of the road towards 37 Military Hospital from Sankara Interchange, with traffic police redirecting vehicles from Akoa Adjei to Afrikiko.

Commuters faced significant delays as authorities worked to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.
