Authorities in Kumasi have returned goods seized from cloth sellers at Kejetia Market after traders' protests.
The seizure on May 21 involved wax prints worth GH¢500,000, taken by state security in a forceful operation.
Outraged members of the Cloth Sellers' Association accused textile companies of undermining their businesses under the pretext of protecting designs.
Donning red bands, they held a press conference on May 22, questioning the aggressive measures and their impact on livelihoods.
Nana Yaa Badu, the association's queen, criticized the seizure's legitimacy and its disruption to the market's peaceful environment.
