Koforidua-Nkurakan road demo: Protesters clash with police

Residents from Ada, Magazine, Aboabo, Wawase, and Nkurakan clashed with the Ghana Police's Counter Terrorism Unit during a protest over the poor condition of the Koforidua-Nkurakan road.

Demonstrators blocked the road with debris, citing multiple fatal accidents due to the road’s state since construction began in 2019.

They issued a two-week ultimatum for the government to ensure the contractor returns to complete the project.

The protest left many commuters stranded, highlighting the urgent need for road repairs in the area.
