Member of Parliament (MP) for Navrongo Central, Joseph Kofi Adda, has urged the people of his constituency to use the yuletide to renew the spirit of togetherness for the development of the area.
Mr. Adda said that as the people engage in their various activities to join the rest of the world to mark the birth of Jesus Christ; Christmas - they should commit themselves to a cause that will bring development to the area and make it better than it is today.
In a Christmas message Mr. Adda released on his Facebook page today and copied to our Upper East Regional Correspondent, Senyalah Castro, the legislator is wishing his constituents well in their celebrations and urging them to pray for the continuous eternal rest of gentle souls that departed during the year.
He used the opportunity to caution them against activities that can put their lives at risk or stall the progress of the constituency and called for moderation in the celebration.
The MP encouraged the people to be generous, kind and tolerant to one another since these acts, he stressed, are fundamentals in the building process of Navrongo.
Mr. Adda made the assurance to continuously pursue developmental projects, in addition to government’s several programs and policies, to better the lives of the people.
Below is an excerpt of Mr. Joseph Kofi Adda’s Christmas Message.
“On behalf of Hon. Kofi Adda, Merry Christmas! We wish you joy and peace this holiday season.
It brings me great joy to join fellow Christians around the world to rejoice in the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. As we retell the story of his Holy birth, may we also remember His eternal message; one of boundless love, compassion, and hope.
This year has been with its ups and downs and we have lost some really good people for whom we will continue to pray for eternal rest. As we celebrate the season and look forward to the New Year, let’s recommit to doing our part to building a Navrongo that is a little more generous, tolerant, and kind. Let us have the will of making our today better than yesterday.
