One dead, 2 injured in gory accident on Kumasi-Accra Highway

An accident at Ohene Nkwanta near Odumasi in the Ashanti region left one person dead and two injured.

The crash occurred at around 7 a.m. on Saturday, involving a man-diesel tanker truck traveling from Accra to Kumasi and a Toyota Camry traveling from Kumasi to Accra.

The accident happened when the Toyota Camry overtook a Marcopolo VIP bus and collided with the truck.

The deceased, an occupant of the Camry, and the truck driver sustained minor injuries.

The victims were extracted from the wreckage by Konongo Fire Station officers and taken to Konongo Government Hospital.
