Fifteen persons with disabilities in Kumasi have been empowered to produce handmade products through a training initiative by the Mandela Fellows.

This program, led by Gifty Adzigbey and Shaibu Fuseini, equips participants with soap-making skills, enabling them to start income-generating trades from home.

The initiative addresses mobility and financial challenges faced by PWDs, promoting inclusiveness in entrepreneurship. Beneficiaries also received start-up kits.

Additionally, 130 students at Ibadur Rahman Senior High School were sensitized on inclusion and disability misconceptions, aiming to build self-confidence and a sense of purpose.

Beneficiaries expressed optimism about improving their livelihoods.
