Paramount Queen calls on Interior Ministry to revoke curfew on Alavanyo, Nkonya

Mamaga Ametor III, Paramount Queen of Alavanyo, has urged Ghana's Interior Ministry to lift the curfew on Alavanyo and Nkonya townships.

Despite a longstanding boundary dispute, the communities have maintained peace for seven years.

Mamaga Ametor III believes the curfew, renewed on June 23, is unnecessary and hinders development and peace-building efforts.

She highlighted the impact of the curfew on investment and called for its reversal to allow for continued peace and development in the region.
