Residents of Anyaa School Junction in Ga South municipality have issued a one-week ultimatum to authorities to repair streetlights and non-functioning traffic lights in the area.

This demand follows a protest on Thursday morning, sparked by multiple fatalities on the Awoshie-Ablekuma-Pokuase Highway due to malfunctioning traffic lights that have been out of service for nearly three years.

The recent incident on July 31, where two pedestrians were struck by speeding vehicles, intensified their call for immediate action to fix the traffic control systems and improve safety for both drivers and pedestrians.
