The TUCEE Institution of Counselling and Technology (TICT), established in 2017, has trained 19,000 teachers across four Ghanaian regions—Greater Accra, Eastern, Western, and Central—in mental health awareness and pedagogical skills.
Operating in 27 districts, including Tema West and Agona East, TICT emphasizes mental health promotion and referral systems in teaching.
Dr. Cecilia Tutu Danquah, TICT Principal, aims to create a teaching workforce that values mental well-being and productivity.
Plans are underway to expand nationwide, integrating mental health into education. Teachers report significant personal and professional benefits from the program.
