I can heal Ebola patients - Prophet

Prophet Paul Owusu, a popular man of God and resident of Abotreye, a community in the Amenfi East District of the Western Region, is claiming to have secured an antidote capable of treating Ebola patients.

He said he had a vision and God revealed to him how the deadly Ebola Virus Disease could be treated through special prayers.

Unfortunately, he claims he doesn’t have the means and influence to visit the Ebola-stricken countries to offer these special prayers.

In this circumstance, he appealed to local authorities in the Amenfi East District of the Western Region to lead him to the Flagstaff House to meet President John Dramani Mahama to discuss his vision with the number one.

He said any support by government to push him to realise this vision would not only place Ghana on the global map but save humanity from the ravaging effects of Ebola.

Prophet Owusu made this revelation known to reporters in the Western Region and appealed passionately for his voice to be heard by the President so that an immediate action could be taken to give him the platform to pray and rescue the Ebola patients from the calamity.

According to the man of God, he doesn’t need money to actualise the vision, just the platform to demonstrate to the world the communication he personally received with God.

He said there are steps and prayerful measures he would adopt as prescribed to him by God to handle any Ebola case that would come before him.

He would however not mention these measures until he secures the platform to put the vision into action.

Prophet Owusu challenged government to employ the services of health professionals to check his mental status.

This, he said, would clear him of being a suspected lunatic and nobody would misconstrue his vision and public announcement as madness.

"I believe Ghana can make history if I get the platform to treat these Ebola patients. I am poised to make history. I believe my vision is real and ought to be carried to the letter."

Prophet Owusu is not the first man of God claiming to have secured the powers required to fight Ebola; others in many other African countries have made similar claims.
