Alhassan joined the Timbers for their inaugural MLS season in 2011. He played in eight games with Portland’s second division club in 2010, joining the club midway through the campaign. Alhassan played in Ghana’s GLO Premier League with Liberty Professionals from 2007-10. He’s been a part of Ghana’s National Team system since 2007, playing for the U-17 and U-20 sides. He was called into camp with the senior team in 2009.
